At a Glance: The Sunday Times Style Shoot at Greengate Film Location

We were delighted to welcome The Sunday Times Style and Lara Stone to Greengate- one of our favourite shoot locations in Surrey. The crew spent most of the shoot outside, capturing their shots in the garden and grounds.

What spaces does this property offer that make it so popular?

Set behind walls on three acres of lawns and woodland, Greengate is a Grade II listed property, just eighteen miles from central London.

It has grand period rooms, with a four-poster bed, colourful wallpaper and a stunning yellow hallway. Set behind walls and a classic stone balustrade, this privacy (plus all the free on-site parking) is a big part of its appeal to producers. Three acres of lawns and woodland surround the house, with iconic views across the grounds. It is an idyllic location that is full of history.

Inside the house:

• Grand period rooms, including a drawing room and dining room
• Indoor swimming pool (used for backdrops only, with prior arrangement)

Outside the house:

• Loads of free on-site parking for vehicles, trucks and loading
• A south-facing terrace with doors from the dining room 
• A small crew base in the Ladas flat

“The shoot went very well. A combination of a relaxed, very pro photographer who did the recce himself, a charming, friendly model and the fact that very little in the house was moved out or about. In a house like this, which is full of antiques/rugs/porcelain, etc it makes a great difference. Also, good weather, lots of outdoor shots and the most wonderful dog I’ve ever met!”
